Get Linx

Install Linx on your server

One command downloads Linx, checks it, installs it, and starts the setup. It picks the right build for an Intel/AMD or an ARM server by itself.

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/linxpbx/linx/master/install.sh | sudo sh

Then open the one link it prints and finish in your browser. Prefer the step-by-step? Read the install guide.

What you need

  • A Linux server — a rented VPS or a machine at home or the office
  • At least 1 GB of memory and 5 GB of free disk (2 GB and 20 GB are better)
  • A domain you own, like example.com, and access to its DNS settings
  • Your phone, for a passkey or an authenticator app

Architecture

Linx ships for both common server CPUs, and the installer chooses automatically:

  • amd64 — Intel and AMD servers (most VPSs)
  • arm64 — ARM servers (Ampere, AWS Graviton, a Raspberry Pi 4/5)

The download is verified against the release's checksums before it installs.

Apps

Once your server is up, add phones to it:

  • iPhone & iPad — the Linx app (rings even when asleep). Coming soon to the App Store. Want to try it now? Ask to test it.
  • Web — the built-in web client, in any modern browser. Nothing to install.

Prefer to do it by hand?

Every release has the signed linx binaries and checksums attached. Download, verify and install yourself:
